If That's Love, our first single off our album, 'About Time' was released on 6th March 2026. To be honest we are still learning how to do all this distribution ourselves, it can be quite a chore with all the various social media platforms to program and push on. We are enjoying Bandcamp and have already made sales of the album through a live listening party we had last month.
'If That's Love' music video was filmed in Bulawayo, and in one of our most favourite locations in Zimbabwe and possibly the world, Matobo Hills, at Shashani Lodge. Bulawayo is called The City of Kings, and it is where we currently stay, but it has been left to rack and ruin and is a sad state of the grandeur it once was. None of the money generated by the people goes back into the infrastructure and it is full of rundown buildings and potholed roads. Just outside of the city centre is an absolute gem of a place called Matobo Hills. This ancient place is thick with magic and full of huge granite rock boulders that have been shaped over centuries into, what looks like huge rock art structures made by giants. It is where the rain makers go to bless and call the years rains for the crops, and has a history to it that could take a lifetime to tell. It is almost like time stands still and is home to the rainbow dragons, little rock lizards, that shimmer all the colours of the rainbow in their skins, as well as Rhino, Buck and diverse bird life. The ground is full of quartz crystals and the orange and red rocks seems to shine in the sunrise and sunsets, against a backdrop off never-ending skies. We simply love it there.
We asked people, 'What is love?' and we simply loved the answers that came back. All unscripted and from people's hearts. My personal favourite answer was, a verb. To me, love is not just a feeling but in the actions we take. What is the point of feeling anything, if we don't show our love?
This music video was filmed on very little budget in and around the places we stay and love to be, and was made possible by the award-winning Director, Tswarelo Mathobe. A huge thank you to everyone involved and to Shashani Lodge for making this video possible.
